Is the most common benign tumor of the breast, commonly seen in the reproductive period of life. It arises from the specialized intralobular stroma.
Gross:

Small, well-demarcated, firm, grayish-pink masses.
The cut surface bulges with whorled appearance and slit like spaces.

A 28years old female presented with a lump in the breast since one month.

Tumor composed of biphasic proliferation of stromal and epithelial components.
Two growth patterns seen: (a) Pericanalicular type - proliferating fibromyxoid stroma seen around dilated ducts and acini (b) Intracanalicular type - proliferating fibromyxoid stroma compressing the ducts and stroma.
