45-year-old male patient complains of painless scrotal swelling.
1. Specimen of enlarged testes with attached spermatic cord
2. Cut surface shows solid grey white homogenous lobulated tumor
Tumor composed of cells arranged in groups and lobules separated by variable amount of stroma infiltrated by lymphocytes.
Tumor cells are round, have moderate amount of cytoplasm, vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli.
Seminoma
1) Describe the gross features of the specimen.
I. Specimen of enlarged testis with attached spermatic cord.
II. C/S shows a solid, grey white, homogenous and lobulated tumor.
2) Identify the microscopic features of the given slide.
I. Tumor is composed of cells arranged in sheets and lobules separated by thin fibrous stroma infiltrated by lymphocytes.
II. Tumor cells are round to polygonal, have moderate amount of cytoplasm, vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli.
3) Diagnose the pathological condition correlating the history, gross and microscopic features.

4) What are the risk factors associated with the above lesion?
Cryptoorchidism, Testicular dysgenesis syndrome, Intratubular germ cell neoplasia (ITGCN)
5) Mention the importance of the above lesion with regard to behavior and treatment.
