On Examination: Solitary thyroid nodule.

FNAC done

A. Interpret the FNAC smear.

FNAC smear is cellular and show thyroid follicular cells in clusters and repetitive follicles. Background is hemorrhagic.

B. What is the probable diagnosis?

Follicular neoplasm.

C. Mention the causes for enlarged thyroid gland.

Diffuse Enlargement : Colloid goitre, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Grave’s disease

Solitary Nodule : Tumors, adenomatoid goitre
