Hemoglobin  - 12 gm/dl

Total leukocyte count- 6000/cumm

Platelet count- 55000/cumm

Bleeding Time- 8 mins

BONE MARROW SMEAR 

 A. Interpret the hematological parameters and the bone marrow. 

• Thrombocytopenia 

• Prolonged bleeding time 

• Bone marrow- shows an increase in the number of megakaryocytes with immature forms showing hypolobulated nuclei 

B. What is your diagnosis? 

Suggestive of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura 

C. Mention two platelet function disorders. 

1. Bernard- Soulier Syndrome 

2. Glanzmann’s Thrombasthenia 

3. Von – Williebrand’s disease 

4. Storage pool disease
